Rezone Request
A Rezoning Request changes the zoning classification of your property to allow a different type of use than currently permitted.
You may need rezoning if:
- Your planned use is not allowed under your current zoning
- You want to change from residential to commercial or another district
- Your project does not qualify as a Conditional Use
What You Need to Apply
- Completed rezoning application - Complete with Zoning Administrator
- Project description explaining why rezoning is needed
- Legal description and parcel number
- Site map or sketch of location
- Statement of compatibility with surrounding land use
Steps to Apply
- Submit a Zoning Permit Request form online
- Staff reviews the request and contacts applicant to complete the CUP application and prepare a report.
- Public notices are published and mailed to nearby property owners.
- Attend the scheduled Planning Commission and Common Council meetings.
- Receive a decision and any conditions for approval.

- $700 as regulated under Resolution 2013-30 Zoning Fees
