Land Split Request
A Land Split is required when dividing, combining, or adjusting property lines to ensure lots meet zoning and subdivision rules.
You need approval if you are:
- Splitting a parcel into two or more lots
- Combining two or more parcels
- Adjusting lot boundaries
- Creating outlots or easements
What You Need to Apply
- Completed Land Split application - Complete with Zoning Administrator
- Map or sketch of existing and proposed lots
- Lot sizes, dimensions, and structures
- Parcel numbers and legal description
- Property owner and surveyor contact information
Steps to Apply
- Prepare your sketch or draft Certified Survey Map.
- Submit a Zoning Permit Request form online.
- Zoning Administrator reviews for compliance.
- Planning Commission and/or Council review.
- Record approved CSM with the Register of Deeds.

- $400 as regulated under Resolution 2013-30 Zoning Fees
