Sign Permit

A Sign Permit is required for most permanent and temporary signs to ensure safety, visibility, and compliance with city regulations.

You may need a permit if:

  • Installing a new business sign
  • Changing or replacing an existing sign
  • Putting up a banner, portable sign, or promotional signage
  • Installing an illuminated or digital sign
  • Exempt signs (no permit needed) include flags, religious symbols, window displays, and small real estate signs

  • Construction and material details
  • Illumination method (if applicable)
  • Business/property information
  • Contractor details (if applicable)

Steps to Apply

  1. Prepare your sign plan and details.
  2. Apply online using the application below.
  3. Zoning Administrator reviews your application.
  4. Once approved, install your sign per the permit.

Fees

  • $40 base fee + $1.00 per square foot (per face)
