Zoning Administrator
Position Summary
The City of Richland Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented planning professional for the full-time position of Zoning Administrator. This position administers and enforces the City's Zoning Code, Comprehensive Plan, and land development regulations. The Zoning Administrator serves as the primary technical advisor to the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, and acts as the City's principal point of contact for residents, developers, and public agencies on zoning and land use matters. This is a full-time, salaried, FLSA-exempt position.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Urban and Regional Studies, Engineering, Architecture, Criminal Justice, or a related field, plus a minimum of 2–3 years of experience in municipal planning, zoning administration, or code enforcement (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS tools such as ArcGIS is required, along with a valid Wisconsin driver's license. Evening availability for Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings is expected.
