Tree Cutting License

A Tree Cutter License is required for any person or business engaged in tree removal or trimming for hire within the City.

You need this license if you:

  • Operate a tree service business within City limits
  • Provide tree removal or trimming for hire

What You Need to Apply

  • Business and operator information
  • Vehicle Information
  • Certificate of Insurance with a minimum $1,000,000 liability insurance for bodily injury and $100,000 for property damage

Steps to Apply

  1. Complete the application below
  2. Submit insurance documentation and equipment details
  3. The City Forester will review your application for approval with possible review by the City Tree Board
    • All annual licenses expire on June 30th
  4. Business name and information added to the Approved Tree Cutter list

  • $25 Application Fee

    • A processing fee will be applied by allpaid
  2. Deliver or Mail to 450 S Main Street, Richland Center, WI 53581
    • Office Hours are 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
