Municipal License - Peddler/Canvasser/Transient Merchant Application
Application Process
- Complete the following application accurately - copies are also available or in the Clerk's Office.
- If you are unsure about how to respond to any questions on this form, check with the City Clerk for clarification.
- Applicant must submit either as uploads in the following application, emailed to clerk@richalandcenterwi.gov, or delivered to the Clerk's Office
- A current driver's license or photo ID
- Certificate of Insurance: must include a Surety Bond, running to the City in the amount of $500 (seeking permit for 6 months or less) or $1000 (seeking permit for more than 6 months)
- $2 Application fee is required for each applicant prior to processing the license application - online payments are accepted.
Review of your application
- The Richland Center Police Department will perform a background check to verify the information you have provided.
- The city may require that additional information, appropriate to the specific type of license requested, be submitted with this application or as a supplement to this application prior to consideration of license issuance.
- The City Clerk will issue your license in as timely of a manner as is possible once it is approved.
- All annual licenses expire on December 31st.
Once Approved, additional License Fees accessed are as follows:
- City of Richland Center Property Owner: $1.00/Day, $4.00/Week, $10.00/Month, $50.00/Year
- Non-Property Owner: $1.50/Day, $6.00/Week, $18.00/Month, $90.00/Year
