Transfer Station Closure (March 31, 2026)

The Richland Center Sanitary Landfill (Transfer Station) will close permanently on March 31, 2026 (last open day: Monday, March 30).

Yard waste drop-off will continue at the same location during specified times. The City will monitor the site and install cameras to prevent illegal dumping.

Republic Services will have six large-item pickups per year (April–September), and residents may take waste — at their own cost — to the nearest Town & Country Sanitation sites in Lone Rock or Boscobel. Please check each site’s requirements, fees, and hours before dropping off materials.
