Transfer Station Closure (March 31, 2026)

The Richland Center Sanitary Landfill (Transfer Station) will close permanently on March 31, 2026 (last open day: Monday, March 30).

Yard waste drop-off will continue at the same location during specified times. The City will monitor the site and install cameras to prevent illegal dumping.

Republic Services will now facilitate six large-item pickups per year (April–September), and residents may take waste — at their own cost — to the nearest Town & Country Sanitation site in Boscobel. Please call 608-375-5856 to confirm each site’s requirements, fees, and hours before dropping off materials.

Republic Services ahora ofrecerá seis recolecciones de artículos grandes por año (abril–septiembre), y los residentes podrán llevar sus desechos — por su cuenta y costo — al sitio más cercano de Town & Country Sanitation en Boscobel.
