Request for Bids: Cropland Lease - Richland Airport & North Industrial Park
Cropland Lease Opportunity
The City of Richland Center is seeking bids from qualified farm operators to lease City-owned cropland at two locations: the Richland Airport and the North Industrial Park. The City prefers to award a single combined lease to one tenant covering both properties, though separate bids will be considered.
Properties Available
- Richland Airport — approximately 54 tillable acres (alfalfa, hay, forage grass, and soybeans only; corn is prohibited)
- North Industrial Park — approximately 94 tillable acres (alfalfa, hay, forage grass, soybeans, and corn permitted)
Lease Terms
- Lease begins June 3, 2026
- Minimum term through December 31, 2027; multi-year leases considered through December 31, 2031
- Cash lease — tenant is responsible for all labor, equipment, seed, and fertilizer
How to Submit a Bid
It is very important to fully review the entire bid solicitation (attached below) before making a submission. Incomplete submissions may not be considered.
Bids are due by 4:00 PM on May 20, 2026 and must include the bidder's contact information, farming experience, the property or properties being bid on, and proposed annual rent per acre and in total.
