Job Title: Public Works Crew I, II, or III

Location: Richland Center

Schedule: Full-time, with occasional weekends and evenings

Compensation: $23.08 - $24.72/hr. DOE and comprehensive benefits package

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, parks, and public buildings.

- Operate and maintain a variety of specialized equipment and machinery, such as backhoes, bulldozers, and excavators.

- Assist in the installation and maintenance of streetlights, and traffic signals.

- Participate in snow removal operations, ensuring safe and clear roadways during winter weather conditions.

- Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as fallen trees, floods, or other natural disasters.

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and completion of assigned tasks.

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Class B CDL required within 60 days of hire. 

- Previous experience in public works, construction, or a related field preferred.

- Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in public works projects.

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when necessary.

- Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
