2026 Water Main Flushing: City Utilities will flush water mains May 11–22, weekdays starting around 6:00 AM. Rusty/cloudy water and reduced pressure may occur. Water remains safe to drink, but may discolor laundry.

City Utilities of Richland Center Water Department will conduct 2026 water main flushing Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 22. Flushing will take place on weekdays beginning at approximately 6:00 AM and continuing through mid-to-late afternoon. Flushing will not take place overnight this year.

During flushing, the entire water system may experience temporary rusty or cloudy water and reduced water pressure, not just the zone being flushed that day. The water remains safe to drink; however, it may discolor laundry.

Storms or other unexpected circumstances may extend or postpone flushing times or dates.
