Request for Bids – 2026 Contracted Mowing Services

The City of Richland Center Public Works Department is requesting quotes for contracted mowing and grounds maintenance services for select City-owned properties during the 2026 mowing season (April through October).

The proposed services include the following locations and frequencies:

  1. Richland Airport Weekly Service (~26 weeks); Mowing around buildings, two lots, and City Welcome sign area. (~30 acres)
  2. Richland Center Cemetery Approximately eight (8) services per seasonString trimming only (City staff will continue mowing operations). (~30 acres)
  3. Bowen’s Cemetery + Bowen’s Mill Weekly service (~26 weeks); Mowing and string trimming. (~2 acres)
  4. Lions Park + Dog Park Weekly service (~26 weeks)Mowing and string trimming. (~4.5 acres)

Contractors are requested to submit two separate quotes. The City will evaluate proposals and may pursue either option based on pricing and available budget.

  • Quote Option A: All four (4) locations listed above.
  • Quote Option B: Locations 1 & 2 only (Richland Airport and RC Cemetery string trimming).

Contractors are encouraged to review site conditions prior to submitting a quote. Bid Proposals must be submitted no later than 5:30 pm on March 16th and should be submitted electronically to darcy.perkins@richlandcenterwi.gov or in person to 450 S. Main Street. All proposals should be clearly labeled “2026 Contracted Mowing Services Bid”.

The Public Works Committee anticipates reviewing the bids on March 19th with final consideration by the Common Council thereafter. Work should commence promptly following City approval and be in place by April 1st.
