Sidewalk Permit

A Sidewalk Permit is required to construct, repair, or replace sidewalks in the City’s right-of-way.

You need a permit if you are:

Installing new sidewalks exceeding 60 square feet
Any work replacing sidewalks across the full frontage of a property
Minor sidewalk repairs under 60 square feet do not require a permit

Sketch of sidewalk area to be constructed or replaced

Steps to Apply

Submit an application below at least 5 business days before work begins.
Pay $20 permit fee.
Public Works reviews for compliance with standards.
Complete construction per City specifications.
