Driveway Permit
A Driveway Permit is required to construct, alter, or replace any driveway that connects to a public street, crosses a sidewalk or curb, or changes access to public roadways.
You need a permit if you are:
- Installing a new driveway
- Expanding, widening, or relocating an existing driveway
- Replacing or resurfacing a driveway apron
What You Need to Apply
- Site plan showing location and width
- Driveway dimensions and materials
- Distance from property lines and intersections
- Contractor information (if applicable)
Steps to Apply
- Submit an application below
- The Director of Public Works will review the application to ensure compliance with City standards regulated by Municipal Code Chapter 615.
- Pay the $20 permit fee - unless the project is part of a new building permit.
- Once approved, the permit is issued and the property owner or contractor may proceed with construction, following all conditions listed in the permit.
