Ordinance No. 2026-02 Amending Chapter 606 Relating to Removal of Snow and Ice from Public Sidewalks

This Ordinance repeals and recreates Chapter 606 of the City Code to simplify and clarify requirements for snow and ice removal from public sidewalks. The updated Chapter establishes a uniform twelve-hour clearing standard, clarifies responsibilities for corner properties, strengthens enforcement authority, and provides for recovery of actual abatement and administrative costs through billing and special charges. The changes are intended to improve pedestrian safety, compliance, and consistency with Wisconsin statutes.
