AD German Warehouse

Come visit Frank Lloyd Wright's birthplace and learn about the only warehouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright on the historic site of the A.D. German Wholesale Company.  Wright designed this four-story gem in 1915 with construction lasting until 1921. The AD German Warehouse has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974. Find more information regarding the Warehouse by clicking here.

This site is privately owned by the AD German Warehouse Conservancy, Inc.,  and is currently working to restore and revitalize the AD German Warehouse.

Public Tours  

Every Sunday 11 am - 3 pm May 5th, 2024 - October 6th, 2024

Tours begin on the hour at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and last roughly 1 hour.

Private tours are available upon request throughout the year  ($40 per person).  Requests can be made via Email: infoadgermanwarehouse@gmail.com or Call: 608-647-0255.  It is recommended to schedule your private tour at least 2 weeks in advance. 

All tours meet at The AD German Warehouse Visitor Center at 177 E Haseltine St., Richland Center, WI 53581. 

 

TOUR OVERVIEW

Your tour starts in the original AD German Warehouse with a short film about A.D. German and the history of The Warehouse. After the film, you will meet up with your tour guide to explore the outside grounds of the site and move through the first two floors of the warehouse.

A guided tour with explanations about the building and its historical and architectural significance.

 

GIFT SHOP 

A gift shop is located in The AD German Warehouse Visitor Center at 177 E Haseltine St., Richland Center, WI 53581

ACCESSIBILITY - The entire tour itself is not wheelchair accessible; however, the first floor of the building is accessible.  The tour does include stairs.  The building does not have heat or air-conditioning. It is recommended to wear walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
