POLICE OFFICER

Richland Center Police Department

 

The Richland Center Police Department is seeking qualified and career-minded individuals for the position of police officer. Applications are now being accepted to fill a full-time and part-time police officer vacancy. The Richland Center Police Department will also be creating an eligibility list.

 

Salary: (2025-2026 contract) Beginning base hourly pay of $30.260 per hour, first raise at 18 months $31.002 per hour. to a maximum patrolman base hourly pay of $32.404 per hour after 72 months.

Applicant Requirements: Minimum age 18, valid drivers license, high school diploma or GED high school equivalency diploma, Associates Degree or 60 accredited college credits, ability to possess a firearm, no felony or domestic abuse convictions, ability to work nights/weekends/holidays, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment, ability to render credible testimony in a court of law, ability to perform essential functions of the position, certified or certifiable by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board.

 

Testing Requirements* Must pass written exam, physical agility test, oral interview, medical exam, psychological exam, drug screen, vision test, and extensive background investigation.

 

Sponsorship to the 720-hour Law Enforcement Academy has been approved by the Richland Center Police Commission. Preference given to applicants that have completed the academy.
