Community Development

Jasen Glasbrenner works with the City Clerk / Treasurer on Community Development. Responsible for the management and leadership of Community Development objectives. Duties: the Clerk works on Planning, Redevelopment, Business and Housing Revolving Loan Funds. Develop and maintains positive relationships with citizens, neighborhoods, businesses and other community groups and agencies. Develops and/or oversees the preparation of recommendations to the City Council, City Redevelopment Authority, local, regional and state EDA’a, Planning Commission, while Zoning Administrator works with Zoning and the Board of Zoning Appeals. The Clerk initiates programs, as applicable, relating to land use, zoning, redevelopment and economic development. Implements policy decisions and administers approved programs. The City of Richland Center operates a separate Housing Authority.
